Founded two centuries ago on an ancient Purepecha and Tarascan settlement, this charming city was an essential part of the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro and still preserves the echo of that cultural exchange.

As you stroll through its streets, let yourself be seduced by the magic of the “Los Cornudos” dance, an Otomí legacy of almost five centuries. Cross the Calle Real Bridge, erected in 1890 over the Apaseo River, and marvel at the elegant El Arco Aqueduct, a silent witness of the last decade of the 19th century. Finally, contemplate the Temple of San Andrés Apóstol, erected between 1820 and 1880 in honor of the patron saint of the old San Andrés del Paso.
