- The three venues will feature an official authorized broadcast signal, giant screens, and activities for the whole family.
- The strategy strengthens tourism promotion, social coexistence, and the projection of the state's seven regions.

With official authorized broadcasts of 50 matches from the biggest football party in 2026, the Government of the People, through the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI), will launch the activation “Fiesta Guanajuato – World Cup 2026”, a strategy that will bring families and visitors closer to the festivities at three venues in the state: León, Dolores Hidalgo, Cradle of National Independence, and Yuriria.

The activation is part of a comprehensive strategy for tourism promotion and social outreach developed in coordination with the Mexico Tourism Board, with the goal of consolidating Guanajuato as a competitive, connected, and prepared destination to be integrated into the tourist routes and circuits derived from 2026 World Cup.

Thanks to the coordinated work with the Federal Ministry of Tourism, Guanajuato will have official broadcasts on two Magical Towns Dolores Hidalgo, Cradle of National Independence and Yuriria. This effort stems from the national agreement through which participating entities managed the broadcasting rights for authorized public spaces, allowing the World Cup experience to reach more regions of the country.

The three locations will operate under the concept “Fiesta Guanajuato”, becoming spaces for family coexistence, social cohesion, and regional tourism promotion. In addition to enjoying the World Cup matches in a safe and free environment, attendees will be able to learn about the tourist, cultural, and identity richness of the state's seven regions.

The main headquarters will be located in the Plaza del Expiatorio de León, a strategic point due to its high tourist and commercial traffic, with capacity for up to 2,500 people. In Dolores Hidalgo, Cradle of National Independence, the broadcasts will take place on the Main Garden, with a capacity for 3,000 attendees, while in Yuriria Civic Plaza It will receive up to 500 people per day.

The infrastructure installed at each location will enable a comprehensive experience for families. There will be high-definition LED screens, professional audio, lighting, rest areas with seating, restrooms, security, permanent cleaning services, power generators, protective barriers, and spaces specifically designed for tourism promotion and visitor interaction.

As part of the experience, each location will feature photo opportunities inspired by Guanajuato's main tourist attractions, encouraging the generation of organic content on social media and strengthening destination promotion among local, national, and international visitors.

Promotional videos of the state will also be shown during the events before each game, during halftime, and at the conclusion of the broadcasts, reinforcing Guanajuato's position as one of Mexico's most important tourist destinations.

The operation will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026 and official broadcasts of 50 matches are being considered. Of these, 35 are already scheduled and the remaining 15 will be determined as the competition progresses and the knockout stages are decided.

Among the highest-attendance events are the inaugural match between Mexico and South Africa, scheduled for Thursday June 11 at 1:00 PM; the matches of the Mexican National Team against South Korea and Czechia; as well as the grand final of the tournament, which will be held on the Sunday, July 19.

In addition to bringing the World Cup closer to the people, the project seeks to generate economic benefits for the host communities by increasing hotel occupancy, restaurant consumption, local commerce, and the arrival of regional visitors, taking advantage of Guanajuato's strategic location between two of the country's World Cup host cities: Mexico City and Guadalajara.

With “Fiesta Guanajuato – World Cup 2026”, the Government of the People reaffirms its commitment to generating experiences that strengthen identity, boost tourism, and promote spaces for coexistence for Guanajuato families.
