With an agenda focused on business generation, knowledge exchange, and destination promotion, the specialized meeting World Meetings Forum Connections Irapuato 2026, brought together strategic buyers, suppliers, and leaders from the meetings industry, consolidating Guanajuato as one of the sector's leading benchmarks Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE), in Mexico.
It is part of the objective and vision of Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo's "Government of the People," as well as the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI), to hold meetings with activities designed to strengthen commercial ties, boost business opportunities, and promote the state's competitive strengths before key players in the national industry.
The 2026 edition brought together Hosted Buyers, specialized tourism value chain suppliers, sponsors, special guests, and organizers, who participated in a program comprising business appointments, academic sessions, networking activities, and destination experiences.
This event presents a valuable opportunity to once again demonstrate Guanajuato's capability as a host for specialized events, with its infrastructure, connectivity, hotel offerings, and diverse range of tourist experiences.
And it's that the realization of World Meetings Forum Connections Irapuato 2026 continues a strong relationship between Guanajuato and the World Meetings Forum, which has hosted the state on several occasions.
Between 2022 and 2024, the events held in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato Capital, and León generated over 3,198 business appointments, with the participation of 149 Hosted Buyers, 150 exhibitors, and representatives from national and international markets.
These results have contributed to Guanajuato's positioning as a reliable and competitive destination for attracting congresses, conventions, incentive travel, and corporate events.
