Tinto Bajío kicks off the Guanajuato ¡Sí Sabe! 2026 Gastronomic Season, a schedule of 40 events in municipalities across the state's 7 tourist regions.
With Con Tinto Bajío, an event dedicated to wine, gastronomy, and local products, the Guanajuato ¡Sí Sabe! Gastronomic Season 2026 begins, an agenda that will bring together 40 events over more than 90 days in municipalities across the state's 7 tourist regions.
Through the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity, the Government of the People, led by Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, is promoting this season as a platform to open new avenues for gastronomic tourism, strengthen the value chain, and generate opportunities for producers, traditional cooks, chefs, restaurateurs, service providers, and tourism communities.
The Secretary of Tourism and Identity, María Guadalupe Robles León, highlighted that starting this season with Tinto Bajío represents an opportunity to showcase the value of Guanajuato wine, particularly that which originates in the Valle de la Independencia, as well as the culinary and productive richness that distinguishes the state.
“What better way to start this season than with wine from the Independence Valley, which represents land, talent, identity, and a tourism vocation that continues to pave new paths for Guanajuato,” he/she/they said.
The Guanajuato Gastronomic Season Guanajuato ¡Sí Sabe! 2026 includes events related to wine, mezcal, craft beer, traditional cuisine, indigenous identity, contemporary cuisine, and local products, with the objective of decentralizing tourism, bringing visitors to more municipalities, and generating economic impact in communities.
In 2025, Guanajuato welcomed 23.8 million visitors, representing a 91% increase over the previous year, confirming the state’s status as a tourist destination and its capacity to host events that drive business for hotels, restaurants, transportation, retail, services, and other tourism-related activities.
This drive also allows Guanajuato to host national and international events, such as the Brussels World Competition, whose awards gala will take place in San Miguel de Allende, projecting the state's wine-making work and opening new opportunities for tourism promotion.
With Con Tinto Bajío, Guanajuato opens a season to savor its identity, recognize the work of those who make up the tourist value chain, and consolidate gastronomy as a reason to travel in the state.
