Guanajuato continued its participation in the Tianguis Turístico México 2026 this Tuesday with a robust agenda focused on promoting tourist products, highlighting the presentation of the CMB Guanajuato Gala, which reaffirms the state as a national and international benchmark in winemaking and wine tourism; as well as the accompaniment of the Federal Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, to the Secretary of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI), María Guadalupe Robles León, during the inauguration of the Guanajuato Stand.
The day began with meetings with media outlets from the state of Guanajuato, as well as a working breakfast attended by members of the state delegation, strengthening the relationship with the local press as a strategic ally for showcasing the state's tourist, cultural, and gastronomic riches.
In parallel, Guanajuato held collaborative meetings with other states, such as Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, and Jalisco, opening spaces for exchange, regional coordination, and relationship building to strengthen tourism promotion with a national vision.
“Guanajuato arrives at the Tianguis not only to show what it has, but to build bridges, open routes for collaboration, and consolidate promotion that translates into more visitors, more stays, and more opportunities for our communities,” expressed the Secretary of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI), María Guadalupe Robles León.
Throughout the day, the Guanajuato Stand was the setting for a diverse and strategic agenda, which included the presentation of the CMB Guanajuato Gala, to be held in San Miguel de Allende, as well as the announcement of the National Hat Fair (FENS), in San Francisco del Rincón.
One of the most relevant moments was the accompaniment of the Federal Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, during the inauguration of the Guanajuato Stand, where the presentation of the New Tourist Routes of Guanajuato was subsequently made. This effort strengthens the articulation of the state's offering under a logic of integrated experiences, connecting destinations, products, and segments with greater commercial clarity. Within this same framework, follow-up was given to meetings related to the Vision for Tourism towards 2050, reinforcing the state's role in building a long-term agenda.
The signing of the sister city agreement between Huamantla, Tlaxcala, and Yuriria, Guanajuato, was also formalized, an action that strengthens cooperation between destinations and projects new possibilities for tourism and cultural exchange, as well as joint promotion. Similarly, the Comonfort Destination Brand and Elokua, the Tostada Festival 2026, from Yuriria, were presented, expanding the visibility of municipalities with differentiated products and identity.
The day's agenda also included key opportunities for promoting the state, such as a meal with hosted buyers, sponsors, and international media, as well as a working session with MABRIAN, a firm specializing in tourism analysis and behavior, which allowed for a strengthened focus on market intelligence and strategic promotion.
“Today, tourism demands more than just presence: it demands product, narrative, intelligence, and commercial vision. That is why Guanajuato is committed to bringing ready-to-sell experiences to the Tianguis, with identity, structure, and the capacity to generate results,” Robles León stated.
During the event, spaces of high value for the state's positioning were also given attention, such as participation in the Premios Excelencias and the IV Premios Mágicos por Excelencias, where Guanajuato reaffirmed its quality as a competitive destination with authentic products and international projection.
The state also presented its Summer Season, aimed at strengthening the attraction of visitors to major destinations and promoting family, cultural, and local experiences; as well as the State Community Tourism Strategy, an action aligned with the Government of the People's vision to integrate communities into tourism development based on their identity, heritage, and capacity to generate local well-being.
In the same vein, Guanajuato announced the Guanajuato 2026 Mexican Social Tourism Council Forum, reaffirming its commitment to inclusive, accessible tourism with shared benefits, and announced that it will host MPI 2026, thereby strengthening its position in the meetings and events industry.
Tuesday's agenda also included a destination presentation in a buyer's circle by Irapuato, the Secretary's interviews with media and allies, as well as networking opportunities with marketing platforms through an alliance with OTAs (Online Travel Agencies), which contributes to strengthening the destination's distribution and presence on digital sales channels.
“Guanajuato is showing at this Tianguis that it has what it takes to compete: identity, active municipalities, clear routes, community tourism, gastronomy, wine, major events, and a work vision that puts people and effective destination marketing at the center,” stated the head of SECTURI.
The day concluded with the Secretary's participation in an institutional relationship meeting within the framework of the event "Guerrero: The Strong Origin of San Diego," strengthening dialogue with key national tourism stakeholders.
With this intense agenda, Guanajuato consolidates its participation in the Tianguis Turístico México 2026 as a state that not only promotes destinations, but also builds alliances, presents structured products, and opens new paths for tourism development with vision, identity, and social consciousness.
