The three-day agenda includes an agenda of activities, promotion and national projection of Guanajuato's six magical towns.
The Government of the People actively participates in the National Magic Towns Tianguis with a solid agenda of promotion, artistic programming and activations that showcase the identity, gastronomy and traditions of our communities.
The day begins at the fairgrounds in Pachuca Hidalgo, with a tour of the stands to continue with the route of presentations in forums and specialized spaces.
In the main Megadomo forum, Yuriria offers Danza de Paloteros, while in the afternoon Dolores Hidalgo presents Luis Alfredo Jiménez “El Nieto del Rey”, in a musical tribute that links tradition and contemporaneity. In the Egyptian forum, Mineral de Pozos presents “Camino de Piedra”; Comonfort shares Danza Guamares; and Yuriria returns with Danza de Paloteros, forming a sequence that highlights the state's dance diversity.
In the Traditional Medicine forum, Comonfort presents “Las Tortillas Ceremoniales: un legado cultural y gastronómico”, by traditional cooks Elizabeth Jaramillo and Celia Juárez and Mineral de Pozos performs the Chichimeca Purification Ritual, led by María del Carmen Hernández Mata, reinforcing the link between ancestral knowledge, hospitality and wellness tourism.
The Media Pavilion will include the presentation of the Magical Towns of Guanajuato campaign to publicize the promotion, content and alliances with the sector.
Guanajuato's activations put the community at the center. Mineral de Pozos sets the mood with music of pre-Hispanic instruments that evoke the Chichimeca and mining heritage; Dolores Hidalgo presents a short catwalk with dresses inspired by its ceramics accompanied by original pieces, dialoguing between utilitarian art and contemporary design.
Yuriria will be giving live demonstrations of tule weaving and traditional painting to bring the public closer to the trades that give identity to the Laguna and its communities; Comonfort will bring a molcajete master with a display of volcanic stone carving; and Jalpa de Cánovas will participate with young people dressed in typical costumes to interact with visitors and promote the rural and landowning imaginary of the region.
Guanajuato's six Magical Towns - Dolores Hidalgo named in 2002, and Salvatierra, Jalpa de Cánovas, Mineral de Pozos and Yuriria in 2012, plus Comonfort in 2018 - form the heart of the state's presence in this edition, with a focus on the authenticity of our communities that live off tourism, showcasing their quality of service and professionalism.
As part of the Tianguis, the 2025 federal reclassification of the Magical Towns program with AAA, AA and A categories, focused on infrastructure quality, services, professionalization and promotion, will be announced.
The official awarding of classifications will take place during the event in Pachuca and the states will have the first half of 2026 to implement improvements; as of September 2026, awards could be withdrawn from those that do not meet the standards, while new destinations will not be incorporated into the program until 2027.
For Guanajuato, this roadmap translates into an opportunity to consolidate its six Magical Towns and, in parallel, to technically and touristically mature the Enchantments, with evidence of local governance, sustainability, cultural content and reception capacity to boost the magical towns and the state's seven tourist regions.
The Government of the People endorses its leadership as a cultural and tourist destination, strengthens its value chain and projects its communities to the national and international markets.
Participation in the Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos 2025 is, at the same time, a showcase of identity and a commitment to the future, an invitation to learn about, invest in and collaborate with the state that makes its heritage a living experience.
