Guanajuato registered 277 participating establishments during The Great Escape 2026.

As a result of coordinated work between the state, tourism sector, and the Federation, Guanajuato has positioned itself among the most dynamic entities in the national "La Gran Escapada 2026" campaign, thanks to the wide range of experiences promoted by its tourist destinations.
CONCANACO SERVYTUR, reported that Guanajuato stood out in the second edition of this strategy, registering 277 participating establishments and an estimated economic impact of 3,135 million pesos.
Guanajuato Capital, León, and San Miguel de Allende concentrated the largest number of participants, consolidating themselves as benchmarks for national tourism.
The promotional strategy for the seven tourist regions of the state of Guanajuato is driven by the Government of the People, led by the Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo.
Through the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity (SECTIONScontinuously strengthens the competitiveness of the sector, promoting strategies that generate greater visitor flow, increase tourist occupancy, and directly benefit tourism service providers, businesses, and families in Guanajuato.
During The Great Escape 2026 Travel agencies, accommodation establishments, and tour operators primarily participated, with promotions focused on nature and adventure experiences, cultural, and gastronomic tourism. Discounts ranged from 15 to 60 percent, while 66 percent of promotions were marketed through mixed channels, reflecting the strengthening of the state tourism sector's digital transformation.
The Secretary of Tourism and Identity, María Guadalupe Robles León highlighted that these results are a reflection of the joint work between the public and private sectors to continue positioning Guanajuato as one of Mexico's preferred destinations.
“In the Government of the People, we work to ensure that tourism continues to be a tool for development, prosperity, and well-being for Guanajuato families. La Gran Escapada allowed us to showcase the cultural, gastronomic, natural, and historical wealth that distinguishes Guanajuato to the country and strengthen the economy of our destinations.”
The initiative that is also driven by CONCANACO SERVYTUR Mexico, in coordination with the Secretariat of Tourism of the Government of Mexico and the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO), in its second edition, registered a national economic impact of 44 billion pesos, with the participation of 6,557 establishments from the 32 federal entities and more than 114,000 tourist experiences offered.

SECTIONS breaks new ground and maintains its commitment to continue promoting strategies that strengthen tourism, promote regional development, and consolidate Guanajuato.
