Through the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity, children and young people are invited to develop their talent with artistic samples of the roots of Guanajuato's identity.
The Government of the People through the Ministry of Tourism and Identity in synergy with Guanajuato Park and the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of Mexico call for participation in the National Tourism Culture Contest 2026, which this year has the theme “Mexico 2026: A Goal for Tourism”, in the framework of the next FIFA World Cup Mexico/United States/Canada 2026.
This initiative seeks to promote dialogue, social participation and creative expression around sports tourism, highlighting soccer as a universal language that fosters identity, inclusion and the encounter between cultures. The contest also encourages the responsible use of this international event as a sustainable tourism promotion tool, capable of contributing to the economic, social and cultural development of Guanajuato and the entire country.
The general objective of the competition is to strengthen the knowledge, appreciation and dissemination of sports tourism, encouraging children, young people and citizens in general to reflect on the positive impact that a world-class event can have on the host communities.
There are two categories:
- Children (7 to 12 years old) in the modality of drawing.
- Free (13 years and older) in the categories of photography or reel.
Participants may develop their creative proposals under one of the following themes:
- World Cup for all
- My neighborhood becomes a court
- Mexico Host of the World
The deadline for receipt of entries is March 16, 2026, so those interested are invited to consult the complete terms and conditions and submit their projects by the established deadline.
With this call, Guanajuato reaffirms its commitment to the promotion of tourism culture and the strengthening of identity through events of international relevance. The joint efforts between the Federation, the State Government and Guanajuato Bicentennial Park consolidate a platform for citizen participation that promotes creative talent and projects Mexico as an inclusive host destination ready to welcome the world in 2026.
