- The six Magical Towns of Guanajuato projected their identity to Mexico and the world
- The Government of the People strengthens its presence in the most important showcase of national cultural tourism with 126 business appointments.
The Government of the People, headed by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Muñoz Ledo through the Ministry of Tourism and Identity, with Maria Guadalupe Robles León as its head, closed with great success its participation in the National Tianguis of Magical Towns 2025 held in the state of Hidalgo, consolidating Guanajuato as a reference of identity, tradition and hospitality in the country.
A delegation of 165 people represented the state, including municipal authorities, tourism promoters, traditional cooks, artisans, musicians and community representatives from the six Magical Towns: Dolores Hidalgo, Mineral de Pozos, Comonfort, Jalpa de Cánovas, Salvatierra and Yuriria. Among them, the mayors of Mineral de Pozos, Yuriria and Comonfort, who reinforced the commitment of their municipalities to sustainable tourism development.
During the three days of activities, Guanajuato deployed a dynamic agenda that included 126 business appointments with tour operators, media and strategic allies, strengthening the promotion of the state's cultural and tourism offerings.
In addition, a collaboration agreement was signed between the six Magical Towns and Tequilera Corralejo, aimed at promoting the link between tourism, handicraft production and local value chains.
The presence of 10 artisans from the six localities made it possible to show the diversity of traditional crafts: volcanic stone carving, ceramics, tule weaving, and folk art. Also participating were a traditional cook from Comonfort and two specialists in traditional medicine from Comonfort and Mineral de Pozos, who shared the ancestral knowledge that is part of Guanajuato's wellness tourism.
Artistic and cultural expressions were another highlight of the delegation. Four traditional dances were presented -Paloteros from Yuriria, Guamares from Comonfort and Concheros from Juventino Rosas- along with three traditional music groups from Mineral de Pozos, Dolores Hidalgo and Corralejo, which set the stage with sounds that evoke the living history of the state.
In the forums and pavilions of the Tianguis, Guanajuato captivated the public with demonstrations of weaving, traditional painting, catwalks inspired by the ceramics of Dolores Hidalgo and all the Magical Towns of the State, in addition to tastings of local products, positioning the entity as a destination that balances innovation, culture and sustainability.
The Ministry of Tourism and Identity highlighted that Guanajuato's participation in this national meeting not only promotes its destinations, but also reaffirms the state's leadership in the preservation of traditions and the international projection of Guanajuato's culture.
With this successful participation, Guanajuato bids farewell to Pachuca leaving its mark, showing that its magical towns are the heart of its people, the reflection of its history and the living soul of its identity.
