- The Government of the People's Tourism and its value chain are making great strides towards professionalization.
Guanajuato, with a strategic vision of Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo and the Secretary of Tourism and Identity, María Guadalupe Robles León, is moving steadily towards the next level as a globally competitive tourist destination, consolidating a strategic vision that prioritizes the professionalization, innovation and sustainability of the sector.
On this path, the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity invites tourism stakeholders to actively participate in the Diagnosis of Competitiveness and Training Needs 2026, a key tool to jointly build a Training Program aligned with the reality of the market and the current challenges of the sector.
The purpose of the diagnosis is to identify areas for improvement, detect knowledge gaps and strengthen the competencies of the human capital that makes up the state's tourism value chain. The sector's participation is fundamental, as it will allow the design of pertinent training strategies focused on improving the quality of services, enhancing the visitor experience and consolidating Guanajuato as an innovative, professional and sustainable destination.
The Secretariat of Tourism and Identity recognizes that tourism competitiveness does not depend solely on infrastructure or promotion, but on the talent, preparation and adaptability of those who make tourism possible on a daily basis: service providers, entrepreneurs, guides, event organizers, operational personnel and decision makers. Therefore, this diagnosis is conceived as a collaborative exercise that integrates the experience, vision and knowledge of the sector, allowing the construction of real and applicable solutions.
The Diagnosis of Competitiveness and Training Needs 2025 will serve as the basis for developing a program that responds to market trends, the evolution of global tourism and the new demands of visitors, strengthening issues such as service quality, innovation, sustainability, identity, digitalization and strategic management. With this, Guanajuato seeks to consolidate a more resilient tourism, prepared and with greater capacity to generate economic and social value.
The Secretariat of Tourism and Identity reaffirms its commitment to work hand in hand with the sector, promoting an inclusive and participatory public policy, where training is a strategic axis for the growth of the state. Building a competitive tourism implies listening to the sector, joining efforts and betting on the development of capacities that will allow us to successfully face present and future challenges.
With everyone's participation, Guanajuato continues to build a stronger, more competitive tourism industry, prepared to stand out on the national and international stage.
