Guanajuato will have a historic participation at FITUR in Madrid, where Mexico will be the guest country.
The Government of the State of Guanajuato anticipated a 2026 with an intense and strategic tourism agenda, which will strengthen the national and international projection of the state with the impetus of the Government of the People led by Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo.
Secretary Lupita Robles León emphasized that the year will begin with one of the most important events in the country.
“We start this year 2026 first with the Fair, as you always know, one of the main fairs, the most important family fair in Mexico,” explained María Guadalupe Robles León.
The León State Fair maintains high expectations of growth in visitors and hotel occupancy, strengthening the local economy since the beginning of the year.
Subsequently, Guanajuato will have a historic participation in FITUR in Madrid, where Mexico will be the guest country.
“We are going Guanajuato with a very strong presence, never seen before, with a strengthened space. We are going municipalities, 12 municipalities are accompanying us, each one with cultural presence and tourist proposals.”
The international agenda will continue in Colombia, with participation in the most important tourism fair in Latin America, and later in the Tianguis Turístico in Acapulco.
“It's a very strong agenda. We arrive from FITUR and 15 days later we are in Colombia... then comes the Tianguis Turístico in Acapulco.”
By 2026, it is intended to promote the tourism brand, which will be presented by the governor in the near future.
