• The “Fiesta México” activation launched successfully at its three venues: León, Dolores Hidalgo C.I.N., and Yuriria.
• By order of the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, SECTURI brings free, safe, and family-friendly experiences to the people of Guanajuato.
Amidst cheers, flags, reunited families, and a single shared feeling, Guanajuato experienced the start of the biggest football celebration with emotion, following Mexico's 2-0 victory against South Africa, a result that made “goal!” erupt in the three venues of Guanajuato FestivalLeón, Dolores Hidalgo National Independence Cradle and Yuriria.
From the Expiatorio Plaza in Leon, the Main Garden of Dolores Hidalgo, and the Civic Plaza of Yuriria, girls, boys, youth, families, and visitors enjoyed the official authorized broadcast on giant screens in safe, free spaces designed for social gathering.

The activation, driven by the Government of the People, through the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI), it is part of the strategy instructed by Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo to bring great experiences closer to citizens, strengthen tourism promotion, and project the identity of Guanajuato during this international soccer event.
The atmosphere began even before the initial whistle. Families arrived wearing green shirts, with painted faces, flags, and enthusiasm to support the national team. With every arrival at the goal area, the squares lit up; and with every goal, the three venues united in a single celebration.
“Fiesta México” not only brought soccer closer to the people; it turned public spaces into meeting points of joy and pride, where the sport blended with the promotion of destinations, cultural identity, and family togetherness.

High-definition LED screens, professional audio, rest areas, restrooms, security, permanent cleaning services, power plants, protective barriers, and tourist promotion spaces were installed at the venues so that attendees could have a comfortable, orderly, and safe experience.
Additionally, prior to the match, during halftime, and at the end of the broadcast, promotional materials from Guanajuato were shown, highlighting the tourist, cultural, and identity richness of the state's seven regions.
The Secretary of Tourism and Identity, María Guadalupe Robles León, highlighted that this strategy allows us to bring the excitement of soccer to more families, while at the same time strengthening the tourist vocation of the host municipalities.
“Today Guanajuato once again showed that it knows how to host, socialize, and celebrate as a family. Fiesta Guanajuato is an experience for people to enjoy soccer, but also for our destinations to continue showing their greatness, their identity, and their capacity to generate community,” he/she/it pointed out.

Thanks to the coordinated work with the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Guanajuato now has official broadcasts in two Magical Towns: Dolores Hidalgo, Cradle of National Independence, and Yuriria, as part of a national agreement that brings this experience to more regions of the country.
The “Fiesta México” operation will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, with the authorized official broadcast of 50 games. Of these, 35 are already scheduled and 15 more will be determined as the competition progresses.
Among the most anticipated matchups are Mexico's upcoming games against South Korea and the Czech Republic, as well as the tournament's grand final, scheduled for Sunday, July 19th.
With this successful launch, the Government of the People reaffirms its commitment to promoting experiences that strengthen identity, promote tourism, activate the local economy, and generate spaces for Guanajuato families to gather and open new paths.
Fiesta Guanajuato kicked off with goals, excitement, and community to forge new paths. In León, Dolores Hidalgo, and Yuriria, the people shouted loud: Gooooal!
