There are moments that are enjoyed with all your senses: a glass of wine, the landscape of the vineyards, good music, flavors to share and an afternoon that invites you to forget about the clock.
This is how the fourth edition of Un Vinito en el Paraíso was celebrated, one of the celebrations that were part of the Vendimias Guanajuato 2026 and that brought together hundreds of visitors in Dolores Hidalgo, the Cradle of National Independence, to celebrate the fruits of this land and to toast Guanajuato wine.
Between drinks, music, and socializing, Vinícola El Paraíso became the stage of an experience where wine was much more than the protagonist: it was the meeting point to discover one of the most special aspects of Guanajuato.
A party among vineyards
Surrounded by the landscape of the vineyards of Dolores Hidalgo, the attendees enjoyed an afternoon where the celebration of the harvest was mixed with conviviality, gastronomy, and entertainment.
The music accompanied every moment of the experience. The program went through different rhythms and styles, with DJs, flamenco and rock, until reaching a performance by Adolescentes Orquesta, turning the vineyard into a large open-air stage.
It was a day to stroll among the vines, meet around a glass of wine and celebrate a tradition that every year connects more travelers with the wine culture of Guanajuato.
From the fruit of the vine to a glass of Guanajuato wine
Behind every bottle there is a story that begins long before the wine is served.
The harvest represents one of the most important moments of the year for a vineyard: the grape harvest after months of work and care of the plants. In Guanajuato, this stage has also transformed into a tourist experience that allows visitors to get closer to wine from its origins and learn about the people, landscapes, and traditions behind each label.
At Vinícola El Paraíso, that story began in 2015 with the planting of varieties such as Malbec, Merlot and Syrah. Subsequently, Sauvignon Blanc and Tempranillo were added, expanding a wine proposal born in the Dolorès lands. In 2023, the vineyard opened its doors to the public for its first harvest festival: Un Vinito en el Paraíso.
Four editions later, the celebration continues to grow and showcase the work, dedication, and passion that exist behind the wine produced in this region.
Wines from Dolores Hidalgo that conquer palates
One of the reasons for providing during this fourth edition was also the growth that the wine production in Dolores Hidalgo has experienced.
The labels produced in the region continue to gain presence and recognition, even in international competitions such as the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, a reflection of an industry that has found in the Guanajuato region conditions and talent to develop wines with a unique identity.
And it is precisely during the harvests that the visitor can better understand this entire process: observe the vines, learn about the environment where the grapes grow and discover, with a glass in hand, the result of the work of producers and winemakers.
Dolores Hidalgo: much more than history
Visiting Dolores Hidalgo is to visit one of the fundamental places in Mexico’s history, but also to discover a destination full of flavors, crafts, and experiences.
Today, the Cradle of National Independence is also one of the main points of the Guanajuato wine route. Its vineyards allow you to complement a getaway with experiences ranging from tours and tastings to gastronomy and grape harvest celebrations.
After an experience among the vines, the journey can continue by exploring its historic center, visiting the Wine Museum, discovering the tradition of local ceramics, or simply enjoying the gastronomy and flavors that distinguish the destination.
Here, history and wine are part of the same journey.
A vintage to remember
The fourth edition of Un Vinito en el Paraíso left behind images of glasses raised among vineyards, music outdoors and hundreds of people sharing a celebration around the fruits of the earth.
But, above all, it showed why the harvests have become one of the most attractive experiences for getting to know Guanajuato from another perspective.
Because a harvest is not just about wine.
It is about discovering where it comes from, walking through the place where its story begins, getting to know the people who produce it, tasting the flavors of the region and sharing an experience that lasts long after the last glass is finished.
Un Vinito en el Paraíso 2026 is now over, but the harvest season continues and the vineyards of Guanajuato await you to live your own story among the vines. 🍇🍷
