Wine Museum

Created with the purpose of sharing the wine culture in the state of Guanajuato, here you can learn and experience the secrets that the wines of the Independence Valley have to offer.

The Guanajuato Wine Museum opened its doors on September 3, 2016 with the purpose of sharing the culture of wine. It has 4 fully interactive rooms in which visitors can learn everything that involves the production of wine, each of the rooms addresses different topics such as:

1- The History of Wine
2- The Vineyard. Cycle of the vine, types of vines, the grape harvest.
3- The winery. Vinification process, types of barrels, corks and bottles.
4- Sensory room. Virtual tastings, the nose of wine, producers of Guanajuato.

It also has a Wine Bar, where visitors can learn about and purchase the different labels produced in the state.
Located at Calle Hidalgo no. 12 Col. Centro. In Dolores Hidalgo. It is the second wine museum in Mexico after Casa Madero in Coahuila. At the moment it is the headquarters of the association Uva y Vino de Guanajuato AC. This association has 33 members who are producers of
