The precinct is located in the Plaza de San Francisco, one of the most typical and photographable places in San Miguel Allende.

It was built by the Franciscans and has a Churriguresque style façade catalogued as the most beautiful in the city, it has a unique quarry work where several saints are distinguished, starting with Saint Francis in the apex, as well as Saint John, the Immaculate Conception, the Lady of Sorrows and a magnificent crucified Christ.
