Enjoy an authentic Leonese picnic with a traditional menu:
Guacamayas: It is a tradition for the people of Leon to eat a roll stuffed with pork chicharrón, which is pork skin browned in lard inside copper pots, accompanied by pickled pig skin, spicy tomato sauce with lemon and salt.
Caldo de Oso: Preparation with pineapple vinegar, lemon, chopped onion, salt, chili, which can be “piquín” or “non-piquín” and grated salted cheese. La Bomba is the same preparation with chopped fruit cut in small cubes, it can be jicama, cucumber, pineapple and mango.
Cebadina: Traditional refreshing, digestive and natural drink prepared with barley, tamarind pulp, hibiscus syrup and water without sugar, baking soda will be added at the time of serving so it should be drunk immediately to avoid spilling.
