For the first time, the State of Guanajuato grants two days of free admission to the León State Fair: on January 9, at its inauguration, and on January 20, as part of the 450th anniversary of the city's founding.
The inauguration of the Feria Estatal de León 2026 will be free of charge, allowing thousands of families from Guanajuato and visitors to enjoy this great celebration from the very first day.
This action, led by the Governor of the State, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, reaffirms the commitment to place people at the center of public decisions and to bring emblematic events closer to the entire population, without economic barriers.
The Municipality of León joined this effort by granting an additional day of free access on January 20, in commemoration of the 450th anniversary of the founding of the city, strengthening the joint work between the state and the municipality to consolidate the Feria Estatal de León as an inclusive, accessible event that is close to the people.
The Government of the People promotes permanent actions that allow more people to enjoy events representative of the identity of Guanajuato, strengthening coexistence, the sense of belonging and pride in our traditions.
For this edition, the León State Fair 2026 is expected to receive more than 6 million visitors, who will be able to learn about and enjoy the cultural, gastronomic and productive richness of the state through strategic spaces such as the Guanajuato ¡Sí Sabe! Pavilion, with a gastronomic display representing the seven tourist regions of Guanajuato; the presence of Marca Guanajuato in the People's Pavilion; and the traditional Livestock Expo, which will bring local identity and talent to audiences of all ages.
The fair also offers a wide range of spaces and activities with free access, including the free access area in the People's Forum, with 14 concerts, as well as free access areas for international shows such as Disney: Where Dreams Are Born, Illusion on Ice and Circus Roberts.
In a special way, this edition presents the Solareón light and sound show, starring a giant Leon that commemorates the 450th anniversary of the city, in addition to multiple shows and presentations that take place throughout the fair, consolidating the State Fair of Leon as the best family fair in Latin America.
These actions reflect the commitment of the Government of the State of Guanajuato and the Municipality of León to build inclusive experiences, strengthen social coexistence and demonstrate that, when working in a coordinated manner, the benefits reach the people directly, since equal access to the most important spaces of coexistence and tradition in the state is guaranteed.

In addition to its gastronomic and identity agenda, the León State Fair 2026 strengthens its family character with an artistic, cultural and entertainment offer that integrates music, international shows, traditional expressions and community activities, with spaces designed for audiences of all ages.
With the Carpa de Colores, Viva León, the fair adds a family meeting point where color, imagination and joy mark the atmosphere. This space brings together funk, pop, ska, alternative rock and electronic music concerts, as well as urban dance, breakdance and magic shows. La Carpa de Colores has become a must-see area for its energy and its proposal to experience music and fun in a vibrant environment.
The Carpa de las Tradiciones offers a festive and family atmosphere with regional Mexican music and other popular genres. It is a meeting point for those looking to enjoy live music, dance and entertainment, with an accessible and close proposal that highlights the musical traditions of the region.
The León State Fair 2026 presents one of the most representative rituals of Mexico's cultural heritage, the Voladores de Papantla, a tradition originating in the Totonaca culture of Veracruz. This spectacle symbolizes the connection between heaven and earth, with a ceremonial flight that honors nature and the gods. Recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, it brings together courage, spirituality and tradition in an experience that transcends generations.
Body expression also takes center stage with a mime show that turns gestures into a universal language. With classic influences such as Charlie Chaplin, the show presents comic scenes, pranks and moments of everyday humor that connect with girls, boys and adults, in an encounter where the audience interprets and shares the magic of silence.
The fair incorporates a dynamic proposal that mixes theater, music and comedy, with a participatory style that invites the audience to be part of the show. “La Carreta Loca” celebrates humor, creativity and joy with a family experience on wheels, designed to provoke laughter and unforgettable memories.
With over 20 years of experience in the hip hop scene, Soul Warriors offers a show that combines urban dance, music and acrobatics. The show integrates choreography, battles and a direct connection with each generation, celebrating urban culture with a powerful mix of art, passion and rhythm.
International shows and large-format experiences
The 2026 León State Fair presents an immersive children's show where girls and boys feel like they are inside the story. In the magical Dream Distribution Center, two presenters seek to fill a meter with wishes from around the world; when Stitch interrupts the machinery and the power goes out, Mickey, Minnie and their friends show up to help. With music, iconic moments and audience participation, the meter is turned back on and the story confirms that dreams are fulfilled when they are shared, with performances: Tuesday through Sunday and Monday, February 2 at the Fairgrounds Dome.
“Quantum” by Illusion On Ice is an ice skating show that integrates acrobatics, visual art and stage technology to create a contemporary, dynamic and immersive experience. Its high-impact production features innovative imagery, stylized choreography and a futuristic atmosphere that highlights the creative essence of Illusion On Ice, performed at the Sala C4 Poliforum.
The circus tradition of León is present with a classic circus, with a family atmosphere that connects generations. With numbers full of charm, artists with trajectory and a nostalgic atmosphere, Circo Robert's offers a close, authentic experience with the spirit of the circus of a lifetime at the Parque Ecológico de la Feria.
As a special experience of this edition, the fair presents SOLAREÓN, an audiovisual show that fuses music, light and sound, where each rhythm and flash represents the strength and pride of the city. Its poetic interpretation defines SOLAREÓN as: “The golden entity that is reborn with the fire of the sun.”
The experience integrates thematic fragments such as Despertar del León, 450 Years and The Cycle, with a sound and visual proposal that accompanies the atmosphere of the fair. Throughout this edition, SOLAREÓN becomes a commemorative distinctive that reinforces Leon's identity.
The State Fair of Leon 2026 adds an urban and artistic experience with a themed parade that seeks to provide an enriching experience for all ages, with floats, representative costumes and artistic presentations. The route will be approximately 4 kilometers long on Sunday, January 18 along Boulevard Adolfo López Mateos, from Parque Hidalgo to the Fairgrounds.
Among its artistic elements and scenographies, the following stand out: Leon 450: The Guardian of Time, cubic sculpture with four lion faces, with different colorimetries representing the past, present and future. “Ciudad Viva” (Hope), futuristic scenography that projects architectural symbols of León in the year 2040.
The caravan of the commemorative parade is joined by a Puppet, a 3-meter monumental figure operated by three puppeteers, symbol of a near future, as well as a float of the Women of Leon, Flavors of the Family and the Neighborhood and the hands that put shoes on Mexico, as a sign of the identity of the celebration.
The parade will feature parade troupes including: motorcycles, police, municipal band, 4-meter lion puppet, children with lion masks, bubble characters, dancers, intervened bicycles, civil protection, public safety, robots, acrobats, guest schools, community groups and more.
The Feria de León lights up the ring with a night of spectacle and Mexican tradition. The event includes a special training exhibition, activities for children and families, as well as autograph signings with gladiators. The line-up includes the best wrestlers from the region and the city.
The Foro del Lago consolidates as a vibrant stage with a program that seeks to attract new audiences and strengthen the entertainment proposal with live shows and nearby presentations. Some of the highlights include El Bunker Podcast, Stand Up Comedy Night with Ricardo O'Farrill, Isabel Fernández and Lalo Elizarraráz and the concert with Little Jesus, Paloma Morphy and Macario Martínez.
People's Forum with concerts of national and international stature
La Velaria becomes the musical heart of the Feria Estatal de León 2026, with a concert agenda that brings together genres such as pop, rock, regional and electronic music, making it the most important forum for international performances of the season.
