- From July 23rd to August 30th, 14 municipalities will host festivals celebrating traditional cuisine, local products, and Guanajuato's identity.
The invitation continues to explore the state through its flavors before the Guanajuato ¡Sí Sabe! Gastronomic Season concludes.
The Guanajuato Gastronomic Season "¡Sí Sabe!" is entering its final stage, but the journey through the state's flavors still has much to discover. From July 23rd to August 30th, visitors can enjoy 16 gastronomic events that will turn 14 municipalities into settings where traditional cuisine, local products, and the identity of each region will be the stars.
Given that the Government of the People has made boosting tourism and social strengthening a priority, the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI) continues to invite people to explore Guanajuato through festivals that preserve culinary traditions, promote local consumption, and generate opportunities for traditional cooks, producers, artisans, and tourism service providers.
The agenda continues with four meetings during July:
- Tradition and Flavor of the Region, in Santiago Maravatío, from July 23 to 25.
-Corn Festival, in Tarandacuao, on July 25.
-Festival del Borrego, in Coroneo, on July 25th and 26th.
-Rincón Barbecue Festival, in San Francisco del Rincón, on July 26th.
In August, the dining experience will continue with:
-Mestizo Gastronomic Festival, in San José Iturbide, on August 1st.
-Pulque and Carnitas Fair, in Doctor Mora, from August 7th to 9th.
A light fixture in the kitchen, in Valle de Santiago, on August 9th.
-Endemic Festival, in San Miguel de Allende, August 14 and 15.
-Mezcal and Ice Cream Festival of Comonfort, August 15th.
Wine Festival, in Dolores Hidalgo Cradle of National Independence, on August 15th and 16th.
-Guanajuatense Tequila Festival, in Pénjamo, on August 15th and 16th.
Festival de las Delicias, in Santa Cruz de Juventino Rosas, on August 15th and 16th.
-Customs, Traditions, and Gastronomy of the Sierra Gorda, in Xichú, on August 15th and 16th.
Chiles en Nogada Festival in Celaya on August 21st.
Pomegranate and Pitahaya Fair in Apaseo el Alto, August 21st to 23rd.
GEMA, in San Miguel de Allende, from August 24th to 30th.
Each of these encounters represents an opportunity to discover the flavors that distinguish Guanajuato, to meet those who preserve traditional recipes and techniques, and to have experiences that combine gastronomy, culture, identity, and tourism.
The Ministry of Tourism and Identity invites you to take advantage of the last weeks of the Guanajuato Gastronomic Season ¡Sí Sabe!, an initiative of the Government of the People that continues to position Guanajuato as a destination where every dish tells a story and every municipality offers another reason to return.
