Through socialization workshops, the Government of the People, through the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity, drives the competitiveness and professionalization of the tourism sector and the value chain, under a strategic vision of promotion.

With the objective of strengthening tourism competitiveness, promoting regional integration, and consolidating new experiences for national and international visitors, the Ministry of Tourism and Identity of the Government of the People carried out a series of workshops to socialize conceptual tourist route initiatives in different regions of the state.

Through the Undersecretariat of Identity and Tourist Development, by means of the Directorate-General for Tourism Competitiveness and the Tourism Product Innovation Directorate, these dialogue.

These actions are part of the state strategy for the design and consolidation of innovative tourism products that strengthen the identity of municipalities, promote collaboration among members of the value chain, and generate new economic development opportunities for communities.

The workshops aimed to socialize each of the conceptual routes developed, as well as to foster the exchange of ideas among tourism service providers, municipal authorities, and representatives from various sectors linked to tourism activities. Likewise, they allowed for the identification of opportunities to enrich the proposals through the active participation of those who know and live daily with the cultural, historical, gastronomic, and natural richness of each region.

During the work sessions, fundamental topics were addressed for the consolidation of new tourism products, including the socialization of routes by region, the management of tourism product and experience portfolios, itinerary design, tourism hosting, and strengthening the linkage and articulation between service providers.

As a demonstration and follow-up of the actions of this strategy, on June 4th, the socialization of the Route Hands of Origin, in which over 30 tourism service providers from the municipalities of participated Tarandacuao, Coroneo, Acámbaro y Jerécuaro. In this session, hoteliers, restaurateurs, artisans, nature and adventure tourism operators, traditional cooks, and municipal tourism directors were present, contributing their experience and vision to strengthen the regional proposal.

Later, in follow-up to the development of the program's activities, the June 5 socialization of the Hidalgo Route, bringing together 25 representatives from the tourism sector from the municipalities of Pénjamo, Abasolo, and Irapuato. Among the participants were journalists, tour operators, hoteliers, restaurateurs, traditional cooks, artisans, and municipal tourism authorities, who agreed on the importance of creating products that highlight the region's historical and cultural heritage.

Also, on June 10th, the socialization of the Ruta Mezcal de Raíces Indomables, in which 28 tourism service providers participated San Luis de la Paz, San Jose Iturbide, Tierra Blanca and Victoria. In this activity, mezcal producers participated, members of the Herencia Mezcalera Association, hoteliers, tour operators, representatives of San José Iturbide Tourist Council and municipal tourism directors, strengthening a joint vision to boost tourism linked to the region's mezcal tradition.

As part of this participatory development process, the Secretariat of Tourism and Identidad announced that the socialization of the Star Mirror Route, comprising the municipalities of Yuriria, Salvatierra, Santiago Valley y Acámbaro, will take place next June 25, continuing this regional integration strategy.

These exercises represent a fundamental step towards consolidating tourism products that respond to current market trends and diversify Guanajuato's tourism offerings, leveraging the strengths and vocations of each territory.

With these actions, the Government of the People reaffirms its commitment to fostering sustainable, innovative tourism with identity, promoting community participation, strengthening destination competitiveness, and creating opportunities for more Guanajuato families to benefit from tourism activities.

The construction of new tourist routes represents an opportunity to showcase the cultural, historical, gastronomic, artisanal, and natural richness of Guanajuato, strengthening the sense of belonging of the communities and positioning the state as a diverse, authentic, and competitive destination nationally and internationally.
