Halftime in Guanajuato is an invitation for national and international visitors to discover the state's tourist identity through its routes, destinations, history, gastronomy, heritage, and new ways of traveling.
The Government of the People, led by Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, through the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity, is working to make Guanajuato a part of the international tourism conversation, leveraging its strategic location between Mexico City, Jalisco, and Nuevo León, as well as its air and land connectivity.
Guanajuato will be present on the mobile app "México Invita," the official tourism tool launched by the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of Mexico. This platform integrates more than 290 tourist routes from across the country. Guanajuato is currently participating with 9 routes, as well as information for creating personalized itineraries and exploring mobility options.
Guanajuato's presence in this application will showcase the state's tourist diversity to national and international visitors, with information on 32 municipalities, their histories, attractions, and tourism vocations; in addition to its 6 Magical Towns, 5 archaeological zones, Heritage Cities, cultural, gastronomic, historical, and nature routes.
México Invita will be available in Spanish and English for iOS and Android devices, and will offer tourist information for the entire country, routes to different states, mobility services, emergency phone numbers, and contact with Ángeles Verdes. Additionally, it will remain a national tourist tool for travel planning.
As part of this strategy, Guanajuato is being integrated into travel routes designed for 3- to 12-day tours. These.
Tours that already include Guanajuato feature packages with stays in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato City.
