This impressive precinct, whose construction began between 1884 and 1901, is a testimony to the religious fervor and dedication of those who contributed to its construction.
The initiative to build this temple was promoted by Fray Blas Enciso, who laid the first foundations. Unfortunately, however, he never saw his work completed. It was the priest Fray Fulgencio Villagómez Ruiz who took the baton, decorating and finally inaugurating the temple on December 31, 1901. This event marked an important milestone in the history of the town and its religious community.
