In the heart of Salvatierra is one of the most emblematic religious buildings in the region: the Church of San Buenaventura, built in 1743.

Description:
This temple is a true architectural treasure that houses three magnificent altars, each with its own devotion. The main altar is dedicated to San Buenaventura, while the transept altar honors the Purísima Concepción, and the central altar pays tribute to the Señor de las Tres Caídas.
One of the most notable aspects of the church is its cloister, which was carefully restored after being left in ruins during the Cristero War. Today, this space is open to the public, allowing visitors to enjoy its beauty and tranquility while immersing themselves in the rich history of the place.
The temple is not only a place of worship, but also continues to be home to a community of Franciscans. In the evenings, it is common to see the friars enjoying a game of soccer in the garden, an area that formerly served as an orchard. This contrast between religious life and everyday life adds a special touch to the experience of visiting the church.
