This fascinating museum houses 827 pieces that tell the story of the first centennial of Mexico's Independence, offering visitors an in-depth and educational look at this important chapter of national history.
Inaugurated on September 14, 2010, the Bicentennial Museum commemorates the Bicentennial of Mexico's Independence. Its design and content are designed to take you on a journey through five rooms that explore various aspects of the Porfiriato era, as well as life in Mexico and Guanajuato in the early twentieth century. Topics covered include the economy, customs and daily life, providing a comprehensive view of the society of the time.
The museum also has an interactive multimedia space where topics related to the Industrial Revolution and post-revolutionary Mexico are discussed. This area offers an immersive experience that complements the exhibits, making your visit even more enriching.
The Bicentennial Museum is open Monday through Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
