This December, León, Guanajuato will once again be filled with Christmas spirit with the arrival of the Christmas Village 2025 Festival, which will open its doors from December 1 to 27 at the Parque Ecológico de la Feria. This year's edition is inspired by The Nutcracker, so fantasy, music and tradition will be present in every corner.
A Christmas divided into Three Kingdoms
The Christmas Village will be organized in three thematic areas, designed for children and adults to enjoy different experiences according to their favorite style.
🌟 Kingdom of Sweets
A space full of color and creativity where the little ones can have fun with Christmas workshops such as:
- Creation of mini piñatas, reviving one of Mexico's most beloved traditions.
- Making small Christmas trees with corrugated paper and recycled materials.
- Nativity decorations made in MDF.
- Design and decoration of Christmas cookies with personalized touches.
❄️ Snow Kingdom
For those who love winter, this area will offer a completely snowy environment with:
- An ice rink surrounded by white trees and cold lighting.
- A snow ramp to slide and have fun with the family.
🎁 Toy Kingdom
Here, attendees will be immersed in a world full of nostalgia and fantasy. Classic toys will come to life in a traveling show with:
- Tin soldiers, porcelain dolls and walking nutcrackers.
- Two daily presentations with music, lights and special effects.
- 24 performances at the Escenario Lago, with theater, contemporary ballet and Christmas carols.
Decoration and Photo Spots
The festival will have a spectacular setting: warm lights on trees and branches, giant figures and spaces ideal for capturing memories. Among the highlights will be:
- A monumental 10-meter Christmas tree.
- An illuminated arch will mark the entrance, along with a tunnel of lights accompanied by instrumental music.
- Photo backdrops such as a Santa sleigh, giant spheres and an illuminated house.
Hours and Access
- Monday to Thursday: 17:00 to 22:00 h.
- Friday to Sunday: 17:00 to 23:00 h.
Access will be free of charge, but will be controlled by tickets that will be issued up to one hour before closing time. Admission will stop 30 minutes before the end of each day.

From December 1-27, different areas of the city will offer cultural activities and special decorations, including:

From December 13 to 22, the Barrio de San Juan de Dios will gather 38 stands and workshops dedicated to the elaboration of traditional piñatas.
Flavors, Traditions and Celebrations
More than 190 merchants with local products, handicrafts and cosmetics will participate in various plazas throughout the city. In addition, on December 10, the Plaza Principal will host a special concert by the Big Band.
The traditional posadas will also be present in several parks, including the León Zoo, where there will be tree lighting and children's presentations for more than 5,000 attendees.
An Illuminated City
Avenues such as López Mateos Boulevard and Calzada de los Héroes will be dressed in lights. The Metropolitan Park will celebrate its own Christmas Festival for the first time, with a light show and activities such as night kayaking.
