HUANÍMARO
Cueva Santa Regina Nature Reserve
This nature reserve is just four minutes away from Huanimaro’s Historic City Center. As you approach the reserve’s expanse, a hill range will emerge in the distant horizon. The Cueva Santa Regina Nature Reserve is nestled among this hill formation. The landscape is teeming with cacti, agaves, and mesquites, some of which are endemic to the region.
The reserve features a cave that is believed to have been used for ritualistic purposes during the pre-Hispanic era. There is also a natural spring that seeps out of a rocky cliff known as “La Chorrera”.
On July 26, the festivities of the city’s patron saint, Saint Regina, take place within the premises of the nature reserve, which is appropriately named after her.
Join us for a family weekend, practice your favorite sport or simply enjoy the lush green landscape at Cueva Santa Regina Nature Reserve!

Huani Tequila Distillery
Nestled among fields of blue agave, Huani Tequila Distillery is only two kilometers away from Huanimaro’s Historic City Center. The distillery was born out of the joint efforts of Huanimaro’s agave farmers, who formed a cooperative to produce and promote their own brand of tequila.
Since its foundation, the cooperative has been expanding operations and has made significant progress in positioning the Tequila Huani brand.
The tequila made in Huanimaro has been granted a designation of origin; it belongs to a select group of tequila brands that have a proven geographical origin and quality.
