Its construction began in 1866 and was completed in 1875. The neoclassical style of its main façade stands out with a spectacular portico formed by 6 fluted columns in the Ionic style, 6 niches in its lower part and 5 in the upper part. In its main access it conserves a plaque placed in 1921 with the following inscription: “To the liberator San Agustín de Iturbide on the centenary of his triumphal entry into the capital of the Republic.” Two modern clocks can be seen at the upper ends. The temple dedicates its cult to the sculpture of the “Señor del Santo Entierro”, to whom countless miracles are attributed.

It has 3 levels where the are distributed the rooms of regional culture, Mexican sculpture, temporary exhibitions, educational services area, multipurpose room, the Mateo Herrera Auditorium and the Educal bookstore.
 
VIÑEDO

BODEGA EL LOBO A winery with one of the most original concepts in the Mexican wine is El Lobo, a company that takes its name from the former Hacienda de San Lorenzo del Lobo, located in the municipality of San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato. Its vineyards, located at 1,850 meters above sea level, cover 20 hectares where, among other varieties, are produced: Merlot, Tempranillo, Syrah and Zinfandel and the characteristic that distinguishes this Mexican wine producer is its production process, each harvest of grapes is made by hand.

 

PEÑA SOLA - 7 LUMINARIAS
