An industrial city with big traditions, its Historical City Center equals in beauty those of the cities of Central Mexico and preserves a deep tradition of Charrería (National Sport) that shows the world with pride.

Silao hosts one of the most visited religious sanctuaries in Mexico; at the top of Cerro Cubilete (regional hill) you can admire the remarkable Cristo Rey (Jesus Christ Monument), a monument that has remained a pillar of the Catholic faith in our country. We can also find in its territory a great cultural exhibition center called Parque Guanajuato Bicentenario

Its highlights are the Parish of Santiago Apostle, the Sanctuary Church, built at the end of the 17th century, Templo de la Casa de Ejercicios (Local Church), built in 1834, the Forbidden Rum factory and the María de la Paz Distillery.
