Visiting Guanajuato is like taking a stroll back to the past, the uniqueness of the city´s style filled by narrow alleys all along the city. One of the greatest cultural heritages of the country. One of the city’s trademark is the kindness of its people, being a place with a large student population and walkable plazas, people in the city gladly welcome thousands of visitors.

Since 1988, Guanajuato city has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its large historical value, which you can see in the architecture from the very first look: a mixture between tunnels, plazas, narrow alleys, underground pedestrian streets, and amazing antique constructions as colonial buildings, all size religious churches possibly mentioned by every tourism book or magazines.

Among its tourist attractions, a must to visit during your stay, are the beautiful “Teatro Juárez”, the University of Guanajuato, the museum and former house of the famous Mexican painter Diego Rivera, the legendary “Callejón del Beso” (local love legend site), the “Museo de las Momias” (real mummies museum) and the “Alhóndiga de Granaditas” (antique historical building).

Do not forget that you can go up by funicular railway from the Historical Center to the city’s overlook that is located beneath the monument to the “Pípila” (Independence Hero), we assure you that the view will leave you breathless.
